Terms of Service
These are the terms that govern your use of Echelon, a software suite for trades businesses operated by Echelon Digital Solutions in Canada. Plans bill monthly through Stripe, start with a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and can be cancelled anytime with no contract. By creating an account, you agree to everything below.
Effective date: June 12, 2026
The service
Echelon is a software suite for trades businesses: Quote Builder (AI quoting and invoicing), Catch (missed-call text-back), Reviews (review requests with smart routing), Sites (a done-for-you contractor website hosted on an echelontrades.com subdomain), Render (AI before/after photos), and bundles that combine them. We provide the software as a subscription. We do not perform the trade work, send messages on our own initiative, or act as your agent.
Your account
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you add team members, you are responsible for their use too. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
Billing and trials
- Subscriptions bill monthly in CAD through Stripe. Current prices are listed on the pricing page. No per-seat fees, no contracts.
- Every monthly plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start, and nothing bills until you add one and the trial ends.
- You can cancel anytime from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not prorate partial months.
- If we change a price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to you.
Acceptable use
The short version: do not use Echelon to spam people or break the law. Specifically:
- SMS consent is on you. Catch and Reviews send text messages to your customers and callers on your behalf. You are responsible for having the legal basis to message them under CASL, the TCPA, and carrier rules. Catch texts people who just called you, and Reviews texts your existing customers, which keeps normal use on solid ground. Importing cold lists or messaging people with no relationship to your business is prohibited.
- We honor STOP requests automatically and may suspend messaging or reclaim numbers flagged by carriers for spam.
- Sites content. No unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content on websites we host for you. We can take down content that violates this.
- No reselling the service, scraping it, reverse engineering it, or using it to build a competing product.
AI-generated output
Quotes drafted by Quote Builder and images generated by Render are drafts. You must review them before sending them to a customer. AI output can contain errors, and a render is an illustration of a possible result, not a promise of one. Echelon does not provide professional, legal, financial, or trade advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of every quote, invoice, and image you send.
Phone numbers
Catch and Reviews use phone numbers provisioned through Twilio on Echelon's account for your use while you are subscribed. The numbers remain provisioned by Echelon. If you cancel, the number is released and may eventually be reassigned. If keeping a number matters to you, email us before cancelling and we will discuss options.
Your content and our IP
You own the data you enter and the output generated for you: your customer records, quotes, invoices, site content, and renders. You grant us a license to host and process that content solely to provide the service. Echelon owns the software, the brand, and everything else that makes the product run. Nothing in these terms transfers our IP to you or yours to us.
Warranties and limitation of liability
Echelon is provided as-is and as-available. We work to keep it fast and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for missed calls, undelivered messages, or lost business arising from downtime or carrier issues. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
You can cancel anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with spam and unlawful content being the fast lane. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy: available for 90 days, then deleted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
